Anthropic Claude license availability

Olin has made Anthropic Claude available to core faculty, staff, and instructors via Olin Single Sign-On. Claude is not available to students.

Login to Anthropic Claude

1. Using a web browser, navigate to: https://claude.ai/login
2. At the login screen, type in your Olin account name. (Do not click "Continue with Google.")
   
3. After you type your Olin account name, the button Continue with SSO will appear. Click that button to continue. (Do not click "Continue with email.")
4. Authenticate with your Olin credentials and Multi-Factor Authentication as usual. If you see an authentication error, you may not be eligible for a Claude license. Please contact the Help Desk.
5. After authentication, the Claude main screen will appear. You will know that you are logged-in with your Olin account when you see the Olin logo with your name in the bottom-left corner.

Install Claude Desktop

Claude Desktop is an application available for both Windows and Mac that allows you to use Claude without using the web interface. Claude Desktop must be installed using Olin software installation tools to work correctly.

• Windows: Claude Desktop is available in the Olin Software Company Portal. Be sure to reboot your computer when prompted.
• Mac: Claude Desktop is available in the Olin Software Self Service tool.

Connect Claude to Microsoft 365

You may connect Claude to the Microsoft 365 environment. This allows Claude to have a read-only view into your Olin email, calendar, Teams, OneDrive, Sharepoint, and similar spaces. To take advantage of this functionality, you must individually authorize Claude to access the Microsoft 365 environment on your behalf through the connector. To activate the connector from Claude:

1. Click on your name in the lower-left corner to access the main menu, and select Settings. (Shortcut: Press Control+Comma.)
2. In the settings screen, select Connectors.
   
3. In the connectors list, locate the entry for Microsoft 365, and press Connect.
4. You will be prompted to re-authenticate with your Olin credentials via Microsoft Single Sign-In.
5. After authenticating, you should see a check mark for the Microsoft 365 connector.
   
6. Now, you can ask Claude questions about items in your Microsoft email, calendar, Teams, and OneDrive spaces.
