Olin has access to 3 distinct Jenzabar One environments.
1. Production
Real, live data. No testing should be done here, though changes to correct accuracy of data is encouraged.
2. Play
This environment ONLY applies to J1 Desktop. You cannot access J1 Web or JICS in "play".
What is it good for? Quick testing. Always assume your work here will be overwritten with current production data at any time and without notice. Request refresh from Prod to Play by emailing helpdesk@olin.edu
3. Test
A full duplicate of J1 Desktop, J1 Web, and JICS. Data is a snapshot from a specific date and can be updated on request to Jenzabar, but may require several days to complete. Best for testing entire new processes or version upgrades. This environment is always updated ahead of a new software version for testing purposes.
