Connecting to EduRoam Wi-Fi on Non-Managed Devices

If you have an Olin managed device, you should be able to automatically connect to EduRoam. If you have a non-managed device such as a cell phone, tablet, or personal laptop, you will need to Enroll using this link. An overview of instructions are below, but may be slightly different depending on your device's OS. If you have any difficulties, please contact the Help Desk or submit a ticket. 

 

Connecting on a Laptop:

1. It should detect what OS you're using, if not, you can change it in the drop down at the bottom of this picture. Clock JoinNow.

 

2. It should start the download automatically. In this example, it will be an EXE file to run.

 

3. Double click the EXE and follow along with the prompts.

 

4. If in range, you should be able to connect to EduRoam. If you aren't, you can retry when you are.

 

Connecting on a Phone:

1. Again, it should automatically detect your phone's OS, if not, you can change it. Name your device, Click Sign In, then JoinNow

 

2. At this point it should prompt you to Allow your phone to download a configuration profile. It may look slightly different depending on your OS and its version.

 

3. On iOS, you will need to go into your Settings app, then General, then scroll down to the bottom until you see "VPN & Device Management"

 

4. Click on the EduRoam MobileConfig profile under "Downloaded Profile," then tap Install, then Install again, then Install a third time (In this example).
