Download Zoom
Download Zoom from this website and select dropdown Choose a Linux type.
Select Ubuntu 64bit and version 16.04+ and then click the Download link.
Save the file to your Downloads folder.
Install Zoom
Open the terminal application using keyboard shortcut ctrl+alt+t. Type the following commands to install zoom.
cd Downloads
ls zoom*
sudo apt install ./zoom_amd64.deb
The Zoom DEB filename may be different. Also you may be prompted to type a Y to complete the install.
Once Zoom is installed it will show up in your Applications. Type keyboard shortcut superkey+a to view your applications.
Launch Zoom for the first time
Click on the Sign In button.
Then click on the Sign In with SSO button.
In the Enter your company domain field type olin and click the Continue button.
Sign in with your Olin College email address.
Then enter your Olin College password.
When prompted to Say signed in click the yes button.
Then in Firefox, you will be prompted to open a zoom link using the Zoom application. Check the Remember my choice for zoommtg links.
Finally, the Zoom application will launch.
