Faculty can opt to combine sections from multiple different course numbers within Canvas. This could be useful for a course that has credits in two disciplines or has multiple lab components that students are required to enroll in as a co-requisite. The student enrollments are still synced with the official Registrar's Office rosters, but appear in one course

Go to an individual section in the course you want to be the "child" (the one you will push into another course. In the Lecture/Lab configuration, this would typically be the Lab)

Click the "Cross-List this Section" button

Search for the "parent" course where you want to move the student enrollments to.

Click "Cross-List this Section"

Repeat for other sections as necessary.
