Computers and laptops that are running MacOS and are managed by Olin Information Technology can use the Self Service application to install a wide variety of licensed software. This tool is part of the Jamf endpoint management platform. This tool manages several pre-installed software packages, such as Microsoft Office, Zoom, and Crowdstrike security software. You can use this tool to install optional software, and to update existing software on your computer.
Accessing the Self Service tool on MacOS
The Self Service tool is pre-installed on your Olin MacOS computer. Click the Self Service icon with the Olin logo in your MacOS dock or Launchpad:
Installing a Software Package
Using the navigation column on the left, click Browse and then All to show all available applications.
Find the software package that you wish to install, and click the Install button under the name of the software package.
